What’s become of you?
What’s become of the stars?
The sun’s fragrant light storm
Bashes heat but only
on his skin; see
(my open eyes because of him)
This world only if
That soul of his
shines through that iris window. if those lips
didn’t kiss, kiss these pleasing ones
then the world would mean
nothing. guitars could not emit
a lovely sound. Everything
would be empty. What’s become of you –
he has your moon.
I hope you guys don’t mind me posting so much. I just want to take a moment to say thank you for my new readers ❤ I needed a place to store all my poems but also wanted to be a part of a community of writers. I can’t wait to get to know all you guys, I’ve already found some poet/bloggers I like! I feel like I’m going through new changes and this blog is a real outlit for me. I love writing about poetry, to me writing is cathartic. I’ve gotten some new beautiful poetry books (female poets too! see here) that I’ve been lavishing in since I got them. My poetry manuscript is halfway done, I have a few poems set aside that I am not sure about. And I also have 2 titles picked out, and who knows? I may not go with those two. I’m also trying to create a schedule for writing. Does any one here have a set time to write every day? Also this Friday, get your fiber, I’ll have a new poem and I’m trying to pick a good love poem for the end of this week. Or do you have a suggestion? I’d love to hear what some of your favorite love poems are this week!
Love Always

I don’t think you posted too much…but then again, I post 3x a day. I don’t always have a set time to write, except for in response to the Daily Prompt, which is usually around 7am or so. But I usually write between 3 to 6 poems a day.

Probably a lot of good ones out there, I don’t know any off the top of my head. Love poems aren’t really my forte… 🤔

I am sure you have read Juliet’s soliloquy in Romeo and Juliet Act 3 early on when she has married the young man and is unaware that their defiance against fate is doomed. My choice for a love poem that rises above the everyday standard, to say the least.
